Helen & Michael - Fort Myers Beach Wedding

Helen & Michael began their fairy tale wedding with Lisa G. of SWFL Beach Weddings who made all of their arrangements and put together the most beautiful destination wedding for this lovely couple. The bridal party all gathered at the Fort Myers Beach Holiday Inn days before the wedding. The Holiday Inn holds special memories for the bride and her sister and was the perfect place for them to gather and prepare for this most exciting day. To the delight of Helen's granddaughter and Michael's daughters they were transported to their amazing beachfront ceremony by Cinderella Carriage provided by Charlene's Classic Carriages which took them to the Gulfview Manor Resort for their sunset beach wedding. SWFL Beach Weddings Grand Royale was the perfect setting for this princess bride.   After the ceremony the happy family were transported to Charley's Boathouse Grill for their intimate reception.

Lisa G. is also spearheading the Wedding Event of the Century to be held on 12-12-12 at this same location.

Fort Myers Florida - Pahokee High School Class Reunion

The Pahokee High School Class of 1960 - 68, 50 year Class Reunion was celebrated in style at the Crowne Plaza in Fort Myers, Florida. They braved Tropical Storm Issac to reminisce and celebrated with each other. Yvonne Thompson Myers prepared a very special video tribute to her classmates that had many in tears as they remembered those present as well as those who have passed before them. The Pahokee High School (also known as Pahokee Junior Senior High School) is a historic school in PahokeeFlorida. It is located at 900 Larrimore Road. On November 15, 1996, The Old Pahokee High School building was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

Alma Mater

High O'er the towering palms, our voices swell
Praising these golden days, we love so well
Dear sons and daughters true, we'll always try
Hail to our Alma Mater, Pahokee High
and celebrated being Blue Devils.

Another big highlight of the evening was when "Elvis" made his grand entrance and performed for his classmates much to their delight. He danced and sang and wooed the ladies with sequined scarves that he placed around their necks much to their delight. Thank you Mrs. Becky Mackey Tuten for the opportunity to share in your memories and document your event. The pictures and video collected for the event were just wonderful and it showed how much the classmates enjoyed each other as young adults and why they still enjoy coming together for their reunions.
