I've been really lax here on the blog.... Sorry :o)We as a family have been caring for my grandmother who just recently went to join my grandfather on their journey. Here is a little about her and one of my favorite photos from my cousin Lee's wedding last Aug. This has been a long three years for her but she never gave up and enjoyed her time here on earth.

Jacqueline Delores Hust “Jackie” to all of her friends and family passed away peacefully at her home with the help of Hope Hospice and her family on the afternoon of July 15, 2010 from complications due to Cancer and Alzheimer’s diseases.
Jackie was born September 29, 1928 in Evansville, Indiana to Bert & Ruth Poiles. She grew up in a musical family and loved singing with her siblings. She was the oldest of 6 children; Charles Poiles, Patsy Anderson, Sharon Morris, Jerry Poiles and Shirley Schwartz. She loved to sing, play the viola and keyboard. One of our fondest memories of her singing was when she was asked to sing “The National Anthem” at the Felda 9-11 Memorial Event. She was also a frequent soloist in her church choir at First United Methodist Church of Immokalee and enjoyed singing Karaoke.
She married the love of her life Marion E. “Sonny” Hust on July 2, 1947. They worked side by side on many projects, including a cute restaurant and when they came to Southwest Florida in the mid 1960’s the moved to Sebring and then to Immokalee. They bought land in Felda where they built Palm & Pines RV Park. She and Sonny were married for 54 years. They raised two beautiful daughters Donna Hodges and Debbie Coleman.
Jackie loved to travel and spent many summers fishing the 10,000 Islands with her husband Sonny and in their later years traveling throughout the United States in their RV. They summered in Alaska, Canada, West Virginia, the Red Wood Forests, our National Parks, Branson, and many other places. She traveled with her daughter Donna & friend Allison overseas to England and France and had the good fortune to visit Japan and Hawaii with her sister Shirley and her family. She also enjoyed many many cruises with her family and friends.
Jackie was preceded in death by her loving husband Sonny Hust, her parents Bert & Ruth Poiles, sister Sharon Morris, and niece Sherrill Poiles-Shoptaw. Graveside services were held on Monday July 19, 2010 at 10:30am at Lee Memorial Gardens in Fort Myers, Florida.
She will be greatly missed by her family. Daughters - Donna Hodges, Debbie Coleman (Robert M.), Grandchildren - Jerri Lynn (Glen), Stacy Carver (Deonna), Jade Cheney (LaWayne), Lee Youngblood (Liz), Blythe Arscott (George) and Daniel Coleman. Great-Grandchildren John Christopher and Clayton Merritt, Lisa, Lauren and Xander Carver, Lauren and Samantha Arscott and little Delaine Marri Cheney who will join our family in October.
