Alina & Tyler's e-Session

Alina & Tyler chose Koreshan State Historic Site in Estero, FL for their fun engagement session. Both love the outdoors and there are some very beautiful old places for romantic photo's. They even rented a canoe to put the finishing touches on their fun morning. Even taking a photo with a family who was also visiting the park to launch their jet ski's. The two of them are just so perfect together and Alina gets the most beautiful smile everytime she looks at Tyler. Meet the new Mr. & Mrs. ..... Joey & Shelly Corbin

This past weekend I flew (Yes, me!) I got on a plane and flew with my wonderful cousin Jade who was a bridesmaid and her husband LaWayne to Grand Forks, North Dakota for Joey and Shelly's wedding. Shelly and Jade became friends in LaBelle, Florida when Shelly and her family moved here. Through their friendship and the school system where both of Shelly's parents teach and my boys attended school, I have gotten to know and love their family. It was such an honor and thrill for me to be asked to be their photographer and share in the joy of their day. After a long long-distance courtship Joey took Shelly to the Florida Keys where he showed her some pretty rocks on the beach...and one really sparkly one and then he proposed. The two of them have been planning this beautiful wedding with their family's since that day. They joined their lives together at the United Lutheran Church in Grand Forks on Saturday August 14th with over 200 of their closest friends and family and a few wedding crashers too! It was a lovely ceremony with the brides Godfather performing solos during the ceremony. Before the fun reception at the Clarion Inn the wedding party traveled to University Park where we took some very pretty photos. They thought it was pretty funny when we Florida girls referred to what they call pine trees as Christmas Trees. We even had the chanced to do little sight seeing and visit the Cabela's store one of Joeys favorite places to go. Stay tuned to our Photography By Jerri Lynn Facebook Page for more Sneak Peek Photos!

Tiffany & John tied the knot!

My niece Tiffany finally married the man of her dreams in a beautiful outdoor ceremony at Clermont's Historic Village on Lake Minneola on July 24, 2010. Tiffany brought John for a visit earlier this year and we did their engagement photos and she told me about her plans to be married this July. She met John when she was just a teenager and the two re-connected years later. Theirs was a family affair with everyone pitching in to make this a special day for the bride and groom. At home with mom Tiffany was pampered by her Aunt Kristy who did her hair and step-sisters and cousins who all joined in to get her ready for her big day. Downstairs Carol, Tiffany's mom and Joe along with her step-brother and cousin John Christopher put the finishing touches on the appetizers and flowers. Clermont-Minneola Eagles Aerie 4485 was the reception site and everyone had a GREAT time. A family friend made the cute wedding cake with a bride & groom duckie cake top. Here are a few teaser shots from their wedding more will follow on their sneak peek on facebook.

Justin & Shelby tie the knot!

I met Justin & Shelby earlier this year when we did their e-session at Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park in Naples, FL. I had know Justins parents Janet & Jay since high school and was so honored that they asked me to photograph their sons wedding this July. They were married at Lehigh Baptist Church in Lehigh Acres, Fl on July 17, 2010 and held their reception right ther at the church. They had a super cool beach themed wedding complete with a video of their engagement session set to Johnny & June by Heidi Newfield. Masons Bakery did a FAB job on the cake and it was tasty too! Shelby & Justin promise they will have a Glam beach photo shoot when they return from their homeymoon and get settled! You can view their sneak peek on my Facebook page. Here are a few of my favorites from their day....

Cody & Erin's Wedding Teaser

Cody & Erin had an amazing wedding at the Burroughs Home and Gardens in Downtown Fort Myers. The guys dressed at Hotel Indigo before the wedding and we had a great time shooting there before the wedding.

I've been really lax here on the blog.... Sorry :o)We as a family have been caring for my grandmother who just recently went to join my grandfather on their journey. Here is a little about her and one of my favorite photos from my cousin Lee's wedding last Aug. This has been a long three years for her but she never gave up and enjoyed her time here on earth.

Jacqueline Delores Hust “Jackie” to all of her friends and family passed away peacefully at her home with the help of Hope Hospice and her family on the afternoon of July 15, 2010 from complications due to Cancer and Alzheimer’s diseases.
Jackie was born September 29, 1928 in Evansville, Indiana to Bert & Ruth Poiles. She grew up in a musical family and loved singing with her siblings. She was the oldest of 6 children; Charles Poiles, Patsy Anderson, Sharon Morris, Jerry Poiles and Shirley Schwartz. She loved to sing, play the viola and keyboard. One of our fondest memories of her singing was when she was asked to sing “The National Anthem” at the Felda 9-11 Memorial Event. She was also a frequent soloist in her church choir at First United Methodist Church of Immokalee and enjoyed singing Karaoke.
She married the love of her life Marion E. “Sonny” Hust on July 2, 1947. They worked side by side on many projects, including a cute restaurant and when they came to Southwest Florida in the mid 1960’s the moved to Sebring and then to Immokalee. They bought land in Felda where they built Palm & Pines RV Park. She and Sonny were married for 54 years. They raised two beautiful daughters Donna Hodges and Debbie Coleman.
Jackie loved to travel and spent many summers fishing the 10,000 Islands with her husband Sonny and in their later years traveling throughout the United States in their RV. They summered in Alaska, Canada, West Virginia, the Red Wood Forests, our National Parks, Branson, and many other places. She traveled with her daughter Donna & friend Allison overseas to England and France and had the good fortune to visit Japan and Hawaii with her sister Shirley and her family. She also enjoyed many many cruises with her family and friends.
Jackie was preceded in death by her loving husband Sonny Hust, her parents Bert & Ruth Poiles, sister Sharon Morris, and niece Sherrill Poiles-Shoptaw. Graveside services were held on Monday July 19, 2010 at 10:30am at Lee Memorial Gardens in Fort Myers, Florida.
She will be greatly missed by her family. Daughters - Donna Hodges, Debbie Coleman (Robert M.), Grandchildren - Jerri Lynn (Glen), Stacy Carver (Deonna), Jade Cheney (LaWayne), Lee Youngblood (Liz), Blythe Arscott (George) and Daniel Coleman. Great-Grandchildren John Christopher and Clayton Merritt, Lisa, Lauren and Xander Carver, Lauren and Samantha Arscott and little Delaine Marri Cheney who will join our family in October.

A New Blog for A New Year

Wow! Can you believe we are already halfway through February! Welcome to my new blog I am so excited to share all of the exciting hings happening here at Photography By Jerri Lynn, Inc. with you. January was busy busy busy as we prepared for the 2010 Swamp Cabbage Queen & Princess Pageants that are Feb 20th at LaBelle High School. The young ladies this year re just so darn smart and talented! This will definitely be one of the most exciting pageants we have had! I hope if you live in the LaBelle are you are planning to come and cheer on your favorite contestant.
We had a mini photo shoot for the local paper and for our program book and all of the girls will be receiving their own Gown Glam Session after the pageant so stay tuned for those beauties. We will also feature photos from he 43rd annual queen pageant right here after the new queen & princess are crowned.
The first weekend of February February took off with a bang as I traveled to Jacksonville with my mom and grandmother for the Amazing Scarlett Lillian Workshop. {They had a nice visit with my brother Stacy and his family while I attended the workshop}
There I spent 2 amazing days with 20 of the most fabulous women in the photography field. Our first day we shot the cutest engaged couple and I must say that the groom to be was just such a good sport as all the ladies took turns posing them and photographing them for hours... I hope you enjoy this little peak into that fabulous photo shoot.

On Sunday we were surprised with Americas Next Top Model Cycle 10 winner Whitney Thompson who was our Bridal Glam model for the day. She was such a trooper because it was sooooo COLD on Atlantic Beach. Wes who was our groom for the day was great as well. Scarlett's amazingly talented boyfriend Stephen Knuth set up the soft box lighting out on the beach and we got some of the most awesome shots of Whitney and Wes.
Besides all of the great girls who attended the workshop I also met the Bui Brothers who are two amazing Videographers and just so darn funny. They were so generous with all of the girls and shared their abundant knowledge with all of us as well as gave a few of us the what fore of using a certain kind of music on our websites. ;o) Kathryn Brown is just the sweetest, generous photographer ever and she's so knowledgeable too she even let me use her 50mm. It was so amazing the difference that lens made! All in all it was a fantastic weekend which concluded for myself and a few others on Monday morning as opted to have our photos taken by the GREAT Scarlett Lillian and yes, they will be on here for all of you to see when I get them!
I also wanted to be sure and say a huge Thank You to Scarlett Lillian for putting together this amazing workshop and bringing all of us together. I was planning to do a Spend A Day but this was sooooo much more! You are such an inspiration and a fabulous photographer!
This week is our last week for pageant preparations and my son Clayton has his Swine Show & Sale at the LYLA (LaBelle Youth Livestock) 4-H Show. His piggy only weighed 202lbs this year so we sure hope he gets some generous add-ons. Keep a look out for more as the year rocks on. I look forward to sharing all of the excitement with you all.
